The best book I have read in 2023 is Demon Cooperhead by Barbara Kingsolver – I read anything she writes, this was her latest offering and it didn’t disappoint
Who is the one author that you would love to meet?
I would have loved to meet Leo Tolstoy so I could hear from him why he killed Anna Karenina, I have questions.

Tons of history books as research for my second novel, currently working through Midnight Trains by Charles van Onselen

What was the most difficult event in your book to write and why?
Separating Romance from her family and trying to find solace in her lonely existence after her tragic experience- it was difficult to feel her feelings with her.
You see a book on someone’s shelf and you have an immediate bombastic side-eye. What book is it?
Romance novels, the ones that have embracing couples with titles like “Love in the Meadows”. I know it’s a genre that is beloved, but I will quietly give a criminally offensive side eye.????
Who would play you in a movie about your life?
I love anything Thuso Mbedu touches, such a talent.
