Who is your favourite author of all time?
I don’t have one because I am not intentional about reading all an author’s books to be able to say I love this author’s entire body of work. Which is actually odd because I do it with musicians. The problem I guess is consistency, for example I loved Purple Hibiscus by Chimamanda Adichie Ngozie but failed to get into Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah. There is one author, Jean M Auel, I read her Earth Children’s series and loved it. I am still to read the last book but I have them in my collection.
What is your favourite book of all time?
I actually don’t have an all time favourite author or book.
What book did you enjoy the most in 2021?
I prefer to pick a favourite book of the year and last year (2021) it was certainly Christy Lefteri’s Songbirds
What book(s) are you looking forward to reading in 2022?
There are a lot of exciting new releases in 2022, namely Wahala by Nikki May, Glory by Noviolet Bulawayo, Chasing Marian by the fabulous foursome (Gail, Pamela, Amy and Quarnita)
Who is the one author that you would love to meet?
I would love to meet Dorothy Koomson. She is a black British bestselling author of Ghanaian descent with over 36 books. I was introduced to her work when I read “All my lies are true” and I was hooked. I would love to sit with her over a cuppa tea and just pick her brain.
